About Us

As a family owned and operated service for over 68 years, we are proud to be known as a staff with years of experience caring for families during the most difficult time of their lives. Our philosophy regarding funeral service is that no two funerals are the same.

Each family we serve has unique and important needs that we strive to satisfy. By working closely with your family we can arrange a funeral ceremony that will reflect the special relationship you shared with your loved one and help you enrich the memories you will cherish forever. We offer creative suggestions and ideas to assist you in making the funeral a personal and meaningful tribute to your loved one. We believe that you will only find this type of dedication from a local, family owned funeral home.

Bereavement Support

Firtion-Adams is pleased to announce the opening of a Grief Support Center as a way to further meet the emotional needs of bereaved individuals and families in the communities we serve. Coping with a loss can be a difficult journey for any of us. We understand the importance of mutual support for bereaved individuals and families. The purpose of our grief support group is to offer education about the grief process and to give people the opportunity to come together in a supportive environment with others who are also experiencing a loss.

LIVING AFTER LOSS is a grief support group that is offered in the spring and fall of each year. The purpose of our grief support group is to offer education about the grief process and to give people the opportunity to come together in a supportive environment with others who are also experiencing a loss. Each series of eight weekly meetings provides information, discussion, and support for group participants. The group is facilitated by Jill Adams, a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Anne Biancuzzo, a Pastoral Minister. Registration for the group is recommended as space is limited. The program is open to the public at no cost. Please contact Jill Adams at (413) 562-3133 for more information or to register for the program.
